How to fix a leaky faucet:

  1. Shut off water
  2. Remove the handle
  3. Remove the packing and stem nuts
  4. Unscrew the stem
  5. Inspect stem threads; replace if needed
  6. Replace the handle
  7. Turn water back on
  8. Check for leaks
